What Never Fails?

Numbers 23:19SunRisingCloseUpII590300

God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Nobody is worried about whether or not the sun will come up tomorrow. The sun always comes up. But the sun comes up because God causes it to come up.

We need to worship God for He is Covenant God. He never breaks the Covenant He has made with us through Christ. God will always and forever will be faithful to keeping His Covenant. He doesn’t change His mind, He doesn’t break His promises, He is the most constant Being in the universe.

So, why would we not trust Him? Or, why would we try and trust something else? It is futile to think or believe that anything other than God will be completely and utterly faithful, steadfast and constant. Everything else will fail at some time because everything in creation has been subjected to the fall. Except the Lord God Almighty.

We must read, study, meditate and listen to God’s Word each day, to be nourished in our souls, to find truth when we are confused, to find hope when we despair. May God’s Word continue to show us the gospel and how we need to apply it to all areas of our lives. Jesus, who is the gospel, is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:18).

May we quickly acknowledge and confess when we are not trusting in God’s unfailing love, when we are not feeling His presence, even though it is always with us. May we tell, share and proclaim God’s constant love to others. May we not be silent but forced to communicate the truth of the gospel to those we come in contact with each day. And my God be glorified in all that we do, say or think.

All for Jesus,

Fletch
